Executive Urgently Wanted: Director of Manufacturing - Wafer Fab

Our client, an international leader in the Semiconductor Industry, is seeking a proven dynamic Manufacturing Manager for its European Wafer Fabrication Operations.

This professional will be responsible for the daily management of manufacturing activities and resources of their centrally located European facilities

Position reports to Senior Operations Management in the Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of semiconductor front end wafer fabs (front ends), to include both mature and advanced technology
• Responsible for deploying technology, expanding capacity, and developing the operation into a highly reliable supplier of integrated circuits.
• Responsible for driving manufacturing metrics such as cost, quality, cycle time and new product deployment.
• Responsible for ensuring effective planning and strategy development of the operations.
• Responsible for developing and motivating a dynamic work force.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Undergraduate college degree (BS in Electrical Engineering or similar)
• MBA, Masters in Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Proven knowledge of wafer fabrication (front end wafer fab / clean manufacturing), including epitaxy, photolithography, etching, stripping diffusion, implanting, etc
• 10+ years of progressive industry related experience, including 5+ years of proven and successful wafer fab operational management experience.
• Strong knowledge of the various manufacturing approaches for optimizing cost, quality, and operational goals.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills required
• Able to bring about efficiencies by incorporation of technology platforms that may allow for efficiencies through consolidation of manufacturing operations.
