Pihsiang Machinery (Shoprider Brand) Loses Against DCC (Days Healthcare) in Taiwan District Court

The Taiwan District court ordered that the London High Court judgment in which DCC (Days Healthcare) was awarded damages of approximately 20 million Euro (23.4 million USD) be enforced.

The judgment was as a result of termination of a supply agreement of Shoprider brand scooters by Pihsiang.

A final appeal may be made to the Taiwan High Court.

It is interesting to the home healthcare business community that this European judgment has been found to be enforceable in Taiwan. There could be more Healthcare companies that follow this route to enforce judgments of this type.

Just a thought – how enforceable would a judgment of this type be in Mainland China where most home healthcare manufacturers and distributors now source product?
