I’m surprised that this doen’t happen more often. Especially since a quadraplegic is so much more noticable than a para or others injured that use a chair. I think Jones probably knew she’d screwed up right away. I’m more ticked off at the supervising cop who walked away laughing.
@Gary,
When I posted this I made no comment because honestly I was at a loss for words.
However if I had to take a dose of truth serum I would have to say that this is one of the most unimaginable (in the negative sense) things I have ever seen - anywhere in the world. The fact that this occurred in the US and not a country like Burma is even more horrific.
In addition the sounds of silence coming from certain industry representatives is deafening.
Is there any organization taking legal actions regarding this horrific abuse of authority?
I’d be interested in lending my support for the cause.
@ T
The good news is is that the person allegedly committing the offense (Charlette Marshall-Jones) is being prosecuted however the other people standing around watching have apparently only been placed on administrative leave. Hopefully the “process” will take care of this.
Frankly besides the abuse of power I am amazed that anybody is capable of an act like this - even had the victim not been quadriplegic.
