Thousands Of Doctors Allegedly Negligent In South Africa – Hope That Soccer 2010 World Cup Brings Focus

Hopefully the Soccer World Cup 2010 can bring focus to South Africa in terms of also supporting its challenged medical systems. A good place to start would be for first world countries to stop poaching South Africa’s medical graduates.

In this report from the Times in South Africa about 2000 doctors are facing negligence claims. The claims are predominantly in the public sector.

Most claims arise from cosmetic surgery and child care / birthing procedures.
